Introduction

The Avalon Beach Hotel is a small family-run establishment offering old fashioned service with modern facilities.

Set on a quiet tree-lined avenue only a 2 minute walk from Southbourne's Blue Flag beach in Bournemouth, the recently refurbished award winning Avalon Beach Hotel offers twelve ensuite bedrooms, family rooms and a self-catering apartment. All rooms include King size beds, En suite power showers, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled mineral water, flat screen digital televisions and complimentary toiletries. Families are very welcome and the hotel offers the use of baby baths, baby-sitting service, board games, nutritious children’s menus, a secluded garden with Daz and Bonnie (resident rabbits), dvd players and movies.

Food and Drinks

Breakfast buffet is served between 8.00am - 9.30am (earlier by request) in the light and airy restaurant. Choose from a selection of cooked items, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, yogurts, juices, fresh tea and coffee. 

A light bite menu is available to your room or in the lounge, including a separate children's menu, available from 5.30pm. 

Organic, free-range and locally-sourced products are used wherever possible. The licensed bar is open from 5.00pm - 11.00pm.

Grounds and gardens

Enjoy the secluded garden with resident pet rabbitts, a children's sandpit and playhouse, a popular place to relax, have a drink or a Barfords Ice Cream.

For sunny days on the beach towels and umbrellas are provided and there is a large well equipped beach hut for hire a 5-minute walk from the hotel. This is charged at £50.00 per day (book in advance, no charge for wet day cancellations).

A baby-sitting service can be provided with movie time at 6.30pm in school holidays. All tv's are compatible with game consoles, bring your own and plug it in. DVD player and movies available for hire. 

Playground and crazy golf (5 minutes walk).

Directions:

From the M27 take the A31. At Ringwood turn left onto the A338 signposted Bournemouth. Take the 2nd exit  A338 signposted Bournemouth Hospital and Christchurch. This is the Cooper Dean Roundabout. Take the 1st left, direction of the Hospital and Christchurch onto the A3060. Continue through 2 sets of traffic lights until you reach the roundabout (approx. 1 mile), take the 3rd exit towards Southbourne. At the traffic lights turn left into Seabourne Road, signposted Southbourne (B3059). Grand Avenue is 1/2 mile further on the right hand side, just before the 2nd pedestrian crossing at Barclays Bank.
