Introduction

This is a student accommodation property all year round. Please note this is accommodation for registered Students only. We do not accommodate non students.

As this is student only accommodation you will need to bring with you your student ID card to ensure you will be allowed to stay - without this identification you may be turned away. When making a booking, please enter your student ID number in the "Additional Information" section of the booking form.

Northernhay House is located in the heart of Exeter city centre. Refurbished in 2010, the accommodation is modern and comfortable. The top floors of the property benefit from views of Northernhay gardens and the historic Exeter city centre. Being in the city centre the property benefits from excellent transport links, bus stops are close by on the high street, the bus station is a 5 minute walk and Exeter Central Train Station an 8 minute walk. Northernhay House is an ideal base from which to explore Exeter and Devon.

Non ensuite rooms are within 5 to 7 bed flats and have access to shared bathroom facilities, 5 bed flats share 2 toilets and one shower, 6 and 7 bed flats share 2 toilets and 2 showers.  Each room comes with its own wash basin.

Please note that linen and bedding are provided and included in the price of the room. Towels are not provided.

 

 

Food and Drinks

Bedrooms at Northernhay House are let on a room only basis. Breakfast is not included. Each flat provides self-catering facilities for all guests; the kitchen area includes fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Other facilities

Internet is included via your laptop. Data cables will be provided. You can plug your computer in and sign up to the service provider for the duration of your stay.

Iron and ironing boards are provided in your accommodation.

You will need to bring a hair dryer and towels.

Self-service laundry facilities are provided on-site for an additional cost of £2.50 per wash and £1 per drying cycle.

Other facilities include vending machines and outside seating area.

Next door to Northernhay House is the beautiful Northernhay Gardens, a landscaped city park with castle. The cathedral green is also a short walk.

Supermarkets, high street shops, bars and restaurants are a short walk from the accommodation.

The University of Exeter is a 15 minute walk, Exeter College 10 minute walk and the hospital a short bus or car journey away.

Arrival at Northernhay House by:

Road: Exit the M5 motorway at junction 31 and follow the signs to the city centre.

Rail: Northernhay House is a 5 minute walk from Exeter Central Station and a 20 minute walk from Exeter St. Davids. Both stations have taxi ranks outside and a local bus service taking you right into the city centre.

Coach: The Exeter Bus and Coach Station is a 5 minute walk from Northernhay House and is located in Paris Street, Exeter.

Air: Exeter International Airport lies just 5 miles outside Exeter with various methods of transport to and from the city.
