Customer feedback

We guarantee that all our feedback is genuine and can only be submitted by people who have booked through our websites.

, September 2013: Room was basic but exactly what was required. Shared shower was in need of a bit of a clean but was exactly what was expected from shared student facilities. 3/5

, September 2013: Schafer House is perfectly located just a few bus stops away from SoHo and Covent Garden. But still it is "only" a student residence and no hotel. If a clean room with basic standard is ok, then Schafer House is for you. 4/5

, August 2013: An excellent place to stay in London for a few days, especially if you want to visit the research libraries (British Library, London University Libraries, UCL Libraries). Basic, but very clean and quiet. 4/5

, August 2013: It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was courteous and everything was kept clean. 5/5

, August 2013: Do not look any further than Schafer House Euston for value for money, security, convenience to public transport & friendly/helpful staff. I highly recommend this place, you will not find accommodation this good at this price so close to the city of London. 10 out of 10 5/5

, July 2013: I enjoyed staying in the Schafer House! I really appreciated the friendliness of the cleaning staff and the student workers and the services. My only minor suggestion would be to offer laundry-detergent (for purchase). 5/5

, July 2013: Very helpful on reception. Clean room and enjoyed the quiet at night. Would come again. 4/5

, July 2013: The location is absolutely central, and Schafer House is very nice and practical to stay in. Being able to use the kitchen is great, the rooms are fine and clean, and it was quiet! In addition, the staff was really friendly and helpful, there is someone at the office any time, and having internet access was also helpful. I would totally recommend Schafer House. 5/5

, June 2013: The room was clean, the superb location of Schafer House will make it our first choice in our next visit to London. I really appreciate the kindness of the senior gentleman in the night shift who was very supportive and collaborative. 4/5

, September 2012: my sister had a great time, she thought the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location, and room great value, she would stay again xxxx 5/5

, August 2012: The building is very centrally situated, so I could walk to most of central London. Sharing a flat with just a few others (instead of with many others in a large building) made for some good companionship. The room and facilities were clean and well-maintained. Front-desk staff wer e very helpful and understanding. A few quibbles about the laundry (instructions for the machines hard to follow) , but I undertsnad outside contractors manage that. Overall a very positive experience, and I have recommended Schafer House to many others. Very good value for money. 4/5

, August 2012: I was pleased that most people seemed to abide by the rule on being quiet in the courtyard after 11. This ensured a decent nights sleep and made it a pleasant stay. 5/5

, August 2012: Good service which met with my expectations given the price. 4/5

Dr Leo Kacugin, August 2012: Travel Booking Network - The best way to visit London in Sommer. Easy stay. It is not Hilton. But clean and nice. Thank you for the service, dear friends. 4/5

Miss Sarah Dennie, August 2012: Would stay there again. 4/5

Mr Pedro Schilling de Carvalho, August 2012: I had two rooms at Schafer, both were great by university standards in London. The location is really nice (next to Regents Park and in the Northern Line) and really safe. The staff was really, really nice and answered all my questions promptly. I can't say anything about the common areas as I've not used them. Nice bathroom and the place is very clean, more than the other accommodation I've used afterwards (Bankside, from the LSE). 5/5

Miss margaret letitia Hayward, August 2012: It is only basic accommodation and the area is not very nice but good fun. Very clean and the staff were helpful .It is what it is for the money and suited my purpose on this visit. I would book an ensuite next time if this was available. 4/5

Mr Innes Gray, August 2012: I was looking for 'cheap' but secure and decent accommodation. I found exactly what I wanted and expected at Schafer House. The builing/rooms were of a good standard and staff when needed were friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in returning in the future. 4/5

Miss Emma Perkins, September 2011: Easy to book, with no hassel or problems through out my stay. Effiecient check in and out. Good location to attractions and very close to tube staion and supermarket. Rooms basic but ok for the money paid. Not nosiy even with the buliding work couldnt even hear it once inside. Ideal for the independant traveller looking for cheap accomdation in london. I would reccomend and use it again 4/5

Mr Anthony Pace, September 2011: an available toaster would have been the cherry on the cake....otherwise it was super! 5/5

Miss Anne Krulikowski, August 2011: I knew Schafer from the Victorian Society. I am a teacher and wouldn't be able to travel without staying in dorms, so for me it is wonderful to have this opportunity. The dorm is clean and safe, and the office staff helpful and pleasant. I would book again (and will) and have recommended it to several of my colleagues. Anne Krulikowski 5/5

Miss Rahayu Mohd Din, August 2011: The room was very well maintained and the location of the accommodation is excellent. 5/5

Miss Amanda Gradisen, August 2011: For the cost of the accommodation (even taking the currency conversion rate into consideration), I thought it was good quality and affordably priced. It was great that internet access was available. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The location of the accommodation was great for me. Overalll, I had a very positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend the accommodation to my friends. 4/5

Ms Farah Anuar, August 2011: Cheap and cheerful. The rooms where nice enough (3 reasonably spacious single-bed bedrooms in a flat, each bedroom needing its own key to open, shower and kitchen shared) and the bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly, very close to Warren st and Euston underground stations. Would stay there again. 4/5

Ms Rachel Bond, July 2011: Really enjoyed my stay with you, wonderful staff and facilities, will come and stay gain. Thank you 5/5

Mr owen mccarron, June 2011: very convenient and comfortable 5/5

Mr Howard Williams, June 2011: Great value for money. I am not a fussy traveller, all I need is a smile when I book in, a bed, a shower, a toilet and for it to be clean and tidy. It fulfilled my requirements perfectly. Great location although it will be far better when the building across the street is completed. 4/5

mary sharpe, September 2010: I wish to praise 3 members of staff in particular for their extraordinary help. The first was the young woman on duty the evening I arrived 16 Sept, then to Domenic who was a big help with the IT problems and especially to Kay who organised a room for me when I thought I might be destitute. I was hugely impressed with such kindly service and will certainly recommend it to others. Many thanks for a splendid stay during a rather stressful time. 5/5

WENDY BEASLEY, September 2010: Everyone was statisfied, the staff were very helpful 3/5

Sarah Kellett, September 2010: Great value, was my sons Hall of Resinsence at UCl so familair territtory 4/5

Yue Cui, September 2010: It is a great place that could be considered for the accommodation when traveling. Service staffs there are very helpful. I think the place owns its advantage also given its location: both of convenient transport access and surprisingly quiet environment. 5/5

Chiara Ugolinelli, September 2010: Fantastic location, easy to go everywhere. Cheap, clean , you can even cook!! 5/5

Helen Phillips, September 2010: The doors make a noise but otherwise it was quiet by London standards. Mattress could have been more comfortable. For the price the standard is good. 4/5

Fabio Verdicchio, September 2010: Very nice experience, extremely welcoming staff. 4/5

Marco Linari, September 2010: People at the reception very helpfull. Really a good experience. 4/5

Chris Coutts, August 2010: Staff was exceptionally helpful. 4/5

Chris White, August 2010: Great price, great facilities, all you could wish for in central London. 4/5

Samantha Hardy, August 2010: Thanks to security who I think must have moved on the very drunk & noisy group from ouside the front door on Friday night - it went quiet a little after 11 and I don't think they would have moved of their own accord so that must have been why! I was impressed with the level of cleanliness in the room and corridors, the bathroom was fine, but I didn't use the kitchen so I can't comment on that. 4/5

Graeme Smith, August 2010: Really can't grumble about the price in central london! QUite noisy at night due to the heavy fire doors banging, but not from outside. More than adequate and cheaper than you would get for anything else. 4/5

Melissa Volpi, August 2010: Good value accommodation within walking distance of all major attractions in central London. Highly recommended if you want a basic room in a safe neighbourhood. 4/5

Yvonne Allen, August 2010: This accommodation is fine, as long as you constantly remind yourself that it's not a hotel, so things are pretty basic. It was a great location, of course, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was an enjoyable stay and very economical. 4/5

James Brennan, August 2010: Excellent overall, far better than other summer university accommodations in Central London. 5/5

Mrs LISA STONEMAN, August 2010: Excellent for ucl hospital - just down the raod which was perfect better than Premier Inn location and 4 times cheaper. Ok you don't get your own shower or a fancy breakfast but at the end of the day you need a bed for the night or week and this place does exactly what it advertises. 4/5

dorothy laskowski, July 2010: While I cannot fault the bedrooms, the kitchen appeared not to be cleaned with dirty dishes in the sink and possibly uncollected rubbish as it smelled a bit. Disposable plastic or paper cups would have been helpful in the bedrooms. However, these are minor gripes and would stay again and recommend to others. 4/5

Peter Remien, July 2010: The staff was friendly and helpful and the layout of the flat was nice. My only complaint is that the lift was broken. 5/5

Steven Morris, July 2010: Exactly as expected. Can't beat the value in central london. Very helpful receprtion staff 5/5

Emma Quick, July 2010: Will definitely book again on future trips to London. A good experience! 4/5

Susan Williams-Jones, July 2010: Good room. I would have preferred an en suite bathroom but coped with the corridor! 4/5

Chu Kin Hey, July 2010: Good location and fast service 4/5

QUERE RONAN, July 2010: I'm going to Ifor Evans (BandB) after your residence and I think that my overall experience is better with a same price. Ronan QUERE 2/5

Marie Pickart, July 2010: I had a very pleasant stay at Schafer House, Euston. I've particularly noticed and been impressed by how quiet the night was : no noise of road traffic (very rare in London !). Very good and central location (close to St Pancras/KingsX) and very short walking distance from tube stations of Warren Street and Euston Square. The room, very comfortable, and the facilities were perfectly clean and the welcoming at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. And the cold drinks dispenser was more than welcome as the weather was really hot. About the internet connexion, it's currently written on the website that the customer has to bring his own cable to be able to connect a laptop to the internet socket but actually I had the very nice surprise that this cable is available at the reception, with usefull instructions to get connected correctly. Very great place to stay, very cheap but yet so far more comfortable than many real hotels for the same and even higher price. I'll come again to stay there, that's for sure. 5/5

Juan M. Amaya-Castro, July 2010: Thank you for everything. I hope to be able to use your services again in the future! 4/5

gordon hutton, July 2010: I think that was the correct room number. Very good accomodation for london prices, thank you! Gordon 4/5

camille andrea domain, July 2010: very welcoming staff, helpful and kind as a bonus; they had a luggage room which was unexpected; overall very very pleased with my stay 4/5

David Venney, July 2010: I was very pleased with my stay. The staff on your front office were very friendly and helpful. You need a new front doorbell. The noise from the building work was unavoidable. The room was quite warm and only one of the windows opens. 4/5

Farogh Usmani, July 2010: brilliant stay. 5/5

julie rose clark, July 2010: very loud pub beer garden out the back kept me from a great nights sleep unfortunately. great to have interent access. friendly staff. great to have a kitchen. a bath would have been nice. 4/5

Elaine Dockery, July 2010: Customer care excellent. We noted that the kitchen lacked a kettle and the staff responded promptly. 5/5
